This shot was taken from a vantage point above the town of Boppard in the Rhine Valley.
Located south of Koblenz, the river does a near 90° turn at this location.  From the town you
can take a chair lift up to a Café [you can see some of the customers at the extreme left of the
photo].  The symmetrical  fields on to the left of the photo are vineyards.  The town to right is Boppard
proper.
