During the Cold War this complex was home to one of two very robust U.S. Army Corps headquarters
that constituted United States Army Europe [USAREUR].  The building had been property of the I.G.
Farben company prior to and during World War II.  It was used by the U.S. Army until being returned
to the German Government in 1995.
